Overview:
Dental anxiety and extreme dental phobia are part of a continuum effecting around 36% of the population.
Anxiety can lead to the avoidance of timely dental care which in turn can lead to poor oral health.
Studies have shown 73% of those questioned believed that their quality of life was directly affected by their oral health.

Since the causes of dental anxiety are varied we rightly use different approaches depending on our patients needs.

- Secondly, our staff are very experienced and highly trained and for that reason we understand the nature of dental anxiety and appreciate how psychologically draining it can be to even make an appointment.

Who is a dental specialist: Dental specialists have to be recognised and registered with the General Dental Council and are dental professionals with additional training in a specific field. For instance out of the nearly 44,000 dentists in the UK only 450 are prosthodontists.
